Area Guide
It is important to carefully consider what area of the Costa del
Sol you wish to purchase a property in, here is a little
information about the coastal and inland areas:

Areas
Between Malaga and Gibraltar the coastline has seen frantic pace
in the construction of new buildings, both commercial and
residential.
Every year we seem to have a new "Golden Mile", with the appropriate
prices!
Nevertheless you can still find oasises of quiet areas with a less
hectic pace. Resales remain buoyant but off plan purchases
in some places are selling more slowly.
It would seem that some areas lacking infrastructure are not lacking
developers, leading to many buyers being left feeling that
maybe they should have looked a bit more closely at the various
options.
At Direct Property Sales we carefully select the properties that
we sell. Only if it meets our requirements in budget, settings,
and location will we add it to our portfolio.
Inland Areas
We do limit ourselves to the Costa del Sol, but as everything North
of the Coast is inland our area is quite large.
We have properties from Nerja in the East to Gibraltar in the West
and cover the Inland "campo" and towns such as Competa, Antequera,
Alhaurin, Coín, Alera. Monda, Benhavis, Casares, etc.
Prices tend to be cheaper the further North you go but be aware of
the logistics. It is no fun to go out for a litre of milk
and face a two hour drive.
Most of our clients opt for property up to one hour inland, we advise
45 minutes to be sensible.
Within these limitations you will find everything from rustic fincas,
new style apartments, townhouses, and even property on a
golf course.
Some areas have several new golf courses being
constructed which makes these properties a good purchase
even if you don´t play golf because of the rental income
potential.
Property prices in these locations can also increase
substantially due to the fact that sports complexs, spas, hotels and
restaurants always seem to follow the initial constructions, which
makes the area far more attractive to future purchasers .
